Highlights of Pecan Grove MUD Meeting – June 24, 2025
The regular monthly meeting of the Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was held at the Pecan Grove MUD Administration/Community Building at 3:00 p.m. on June 24, 2025. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in the PGMUD building at noon.
Parks and Facilities Report
Repair to the damage to the walking trail in Pecan Grove Park is in process. The repair of the air conditioning at the Administration/Community building was completed last month, however, there is still an issue with the loudness of the air circulation system. The problems with the plumbing at the building are being addressed. Yaupon fence barrier at Windmill Park has been completed. New kiddie cushion was added at Windmill Park.
Golf Cart Rules
The use of golf carts on the streets of Pecan Grove have requirements that we all should know:

Only licensed drivers are allowed to operate a golf cart on streets.

Plates are required if you are driving on streets outside the district.

Drive only on streets with speed limits of 35 mph or less.

To operate on residential streets after dark the golf cart must have head and tail lights and mirrors plus a slow-moving vehicle symbol (reflective red triangle on rear).
The Club at Pecan Grove
Work is continuing on the repairs to the golf course irrigation system starting with the Grove course. The work on the greens is continuing including fumigation for nematodes. The repairs to the lake in front of the club are almost complete with some stonework left to be done. Mulch has been distributed to muddy areas around all three courses. The Club held weekend concerts on the patio in June.
See Engineers report for status of the swimming pool rehabilitation and the upgrade of the tennis courts. Remember that key-card access to the pool, workout room and tennis courts is now required. Cards can be purchased at the MUD office.

May 2025 testing showed that the drinking water and wastewater systems met the state and federal compliance standards for disinfection and there were no permit excursions for the month.
Repairs or replacement completed in May include: the replacement of the disinfection basin sample pump; the repair of the motor for the mixer for the Raw Tank #1; the purchase of surge protection device for Water Plant #2; the replacement of the elevated storage altitude Solar Bee Mixer; the installation of new cameras at the WWTP is in process.
Items in process are: Water Plant #2 check valves #3 and #4 replacement; Lift Station #10 Lift Pump #1 replacement; the purchase of trailer mounted bypass pump.
New requested actions that the board approved were: replacement of SWTP GAC actuators 1 and 2; repair of the SWTP Skid C pump and motor; replacement of SWTP Skid valve; repair of the SWTP high service pump #3 and replace its motor; replacement of the motor for the SWTP fork lift.
Old water meters continue to be replaced, with 3 replaced in this month for a total of 1,734 replaced to date since January 2023.
SI Enviro is seeking 3rd party damage claims for damages caused by 1 outside contractor working for other parties. Two other contractors have paid.
