The regular monthly meeting of the Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was held at the Pecan Grove MUD Administration/Community Building at 12:00 p.m. on May 26, 2026. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at noon in the PGMUD Community/Administration building.

Opening Remarks by Residents
One resident expressed concern about the extension of his property backyard into the golf course property. Another asked the board work to resolve this concern.
Bond Sale
Austin Ficken of Masterson Advisors advised the board about the June 30, 2026, $4,000,000 bond sale.
Parks and Facilities Report
The new fence on the west side of Pecan Grove Park has been completed.
The Administration building was a voting location for the recent election.
The pool opened on Memorial Day and there was a very good turnout. Key cards continue to be issued with a total of 995 active cards so far.
A new gate has been installed to the tennis court parking lot. The contract constables are helping to patrol the gym and tennis court areas due to disruptive activity by minors at night.
The Club at Pecan Grove
The recent rain has helped The Grove’s new greens which should be playable in mid-June. The greens of the Plantation course will begin to be repaired when the Grove greens are ready.
The club Member/Guest Tournament will be September 25 – 26. There will be a maximum of 40 teams (80 players). This will not be an MGA event. The club will run this tournament.
The Club is seeking bids for landscaping services as well as to refurbish the sign out front.
Smiley is working on a game plan for food service when the swimming pool opens.
Membership continues to trend positively. Since the beginning of the fiscal year (10/01/25), we have gained more than 60 golf members.
The total neighborhood rounds number was 722 in April.

April 2026 testing showed that the drinking water and wastewater systems met the state and federal compliance standards for disinfection and there were no permit excursions for the month.
Repairs or replacement completed in April 2026 include: replacement of the high service pump #3; the replacement of the Filter Skid remote I/O parts at Water Plant #2; replacement of the Cl2 backup ratemeter at the WWTP.
Items in process are: At the SWTP: replacement of the SKID B backwash strainer; purchase of a SKID pump and motor; replacement of the rectangular collector; replacement of the Raw Water Gravity Feed Actuator; and replacement of the pressure sensing meter and valve enclosure; replacement of the return sludge pump #2; replacement of the return; purchase of main collector sprockets; repair of Water Plant #1 booster pump and motor #4; at WWTP replacement of the RAS pump #1
New requested actions that the board approved were: at the SWTP – purchase of a drive assembly and drive chains for the main collectors; replacement of the Skid A and C controllers.
Expenses for emergency work in April included replacement of the lift pump at Lift Station #11; repair of the generator exhaust manifold and cylinder heads at the Pecan Lakes storm water pump station; and replacement at the SWTP High Service Pump.
Old water meters continue to be replaced, with 12 replaced this month for a total of 1,899 replaced to date since January 2023.
SI Enviro is pursuing 3rd party damage claims for damages caused by outside contractors.
The annual Consumer Confidence Report has been made available to district residents through an insert in their water bill.
