PGVFD Report — February 2026
The PGVFD is planning to transition to an Emergency Services District (ESD) to better protect our fire service areas.
Parks and Facilities Report
The pool is still open for lap swimming in the mornings, but with no lifeguards.
New fencing for the West side of Pecan Grove Park and for part of Belin Park is being planned.
The women’s restroom at PG Park had a large leak in its wall due to a broken water pipe in the wall. The repair is complete.
Remember that key-card access to the pool, workout room, and tennis courts is now required. To maintain an active card, renewal payments must be made at the MUD office.
We continue to have plumbing problems in the Administration building. Odyssey is working with the contractor on fixes.
The Club at Pecan Grove
New benches for the tennis courts are on order.
Though we are on our new irrigation system, we are still having small leaks and minor repairs are being done.
Grove greens are now open. This will help in providing increased golf revenue. There were 810 rounds of golf played in January. We expect stronger numbers in the next few months since this is a 50% increase in the number of playable holes.
Sean (new Course Supervisor) and his crews have been continuing to selectively trim trees on the course.
Sean was contacted about a drainage issue for a home owner on the course. It is an area where the ground has settled. It is being remedied with a small trench to the ditch close by.
The clubhouse is going well. We are in the process of making some enhancements in the ladies’ restroom.
The marketing program is ongoing. It has been very successful in bringing new traffic into the club. Combined with the insert that went out with the water bill, we have seen a strong improvement in The Turn restaurant.
We intend to replace the temporary sign with something a bit better in the next month. It has been helping in raising awareness of the restaurant being open to the public.
