The regular monthly meeting of the Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was held at the Pecan Grove MUD Administration/Community Building at noon on August 25, 2026. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. preceded by a building dedication at noon in the PGMUD Community/Administration building.
Parks and Facilities Report
On September 22, 2026, at noon, there will be a ceremony to dedicate the Administration/Community building to George “Buddy” Edward Kluppel II. Buddy, who was a former Pecan Grove MUD board member for 24 years, passed away recently and the MUD board felt that it would be appropriate to honor him with this dedication.
The condenser for the small pool is on order and should be in place by the end of September. The Fort Bend County inspected and renewed the permit for pool operations on August 26, 2026. The Lap swim schedule is Tuesday thru Saturday, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. adults only with no lifeguard until mid-October.
The Women’s League for Pickleball started on September 2, 2026, and will run through November 16, 2026 on Mondays and Wednesdays (8:30 – 12:30).
The Club at Pecan Grove
The grass on the greens on the Plantation course is growing nicely and we are hopeful that the Plantation course will open no later than mid-September. The vegetation around the lakes was trimmed. The irrigation on the Driving Range is being upgraded. Plans for irrigation and reseeding the greens on Pecan are progressing with work planned to begin next winter on the irrigation. Work on Pecan greens will begin next summer. The introduction of new grass carp to the lakes is scheduled for September. These are sterile fish provided by the Texas Fish and Wildlife Department and will help control vegetation.
The Club renovations continue with new tile, counter, sinks, faucets, flooring along with painting and repairs.
The club Member/Guest Tournament will be September 25 – 26. There will be a maximum of 40 teams (80 players).
There was drainage issue caused by a congregation of ducks and geese. The drain was plugged with “debris” and had to be cleared. Residents should refrain from feeding the Muscovy ducks. They are a health hazard and an invasive species that drives out native wildlife, like song birds and migrating birds.
A mailing will be sent soon after the Plantation greens opening to encourage membership.
The total neighborhood rounds number was 690 in July.

July 2026 testing showed that the drinking water and wastewater systems met the state and federal compliance standards for disinfection and there were no permit excursions for the month.
Repairs or replacement completed in July 2026 include: purchase of main collector sprockets; repair of the forklift at the SWTP; repair of booster pumps at Water Plants #1 and #3; replacement of the SO2 backup Smart regulator.
Items in process for July are – At the SWTP: replacement of parts for the rectangular collector; purchase of drive chains and drive assembly for the main collectors; repair of the low lift pump #1: cleaning and sediment removal at Water Plants #1, #2, #3 and the elevated storage facility.
New requested actions that the board approved were at the SWTP: purchase of belt press bottom belt; replacing the CHN Skid Solenoid Bank Numatics; replacing bearings on the main collector assembly.
Old water meters continue to be replaced, with 2 replaced this month for a total of 1,928 replaced to date since January 2023.
