Projects Under Construction

Bullhead Slough – Phase Two

Project will dredge and rehabilitate the side slopes of the portion of Bullhead Slough between Oyster Creek and Farmer Road. Contractor has completed all construction activities and is preparing for final contract close out.

Administration Building

Project includes construction of an administration building to serve the District and community at the southern edge of Pecan Grove Park on Pitts Road. Board approved Pay Request #10 and Final in the amount of $20,000 and accepted the Certificate of Completion.  The project is complete.

Levee Modifications at 1644 FM 359

Project includes adjusting the elevations of an existing driveway on FM 359 to allow for easier installation of temporary flood protection measures in the event of high water on FM 359. Board approved Pay Request #1 and Final in the amount of $49,860.00 and accepted the Certificate of Completion.  The project is complete.

Main Channel Backslope Swale Rehabilitation

Project includes regrading the backslope swales and the drains on the maintenance berms of the main channel to ensure there is no standing water, which can cause erosion.  The Contractor mobilized on June 1, 2022 to begin construction activities.

Water Plant No. 3 Building Repair

The building at water plant no. 3 is experiencing minor foundation settling.  This project will address this issue and other minor building rehabilitations. Board approved Pay Request #1 and Final in the amount of $5,000 and accepted the Certificate of Completion.  The project is complete.

Interior Ladders for Raw Water Tanks

Project includes installing ladders inside the raw water storage tanks at the surface water treatment plant to provide additional safety for the operators of the District. Material is currently being fabricated by the Contractor.  District is preparing for installation in the raw water tanks at the surface water treatment plant.

Generators for Water Plant No. 1 and Water Well No. 5

Project includes installing natural gas generators for the water plant located on Pitts Road and the remote water well located near Austin Elementary. Contract awarded the project to WW Payton.  Notice to Proceed has been issued and generators have been ordered by the Contractor.  Current shipment schedule for the generators is August 2022.

Levee Property Acquisition

District directed Odyssey to obtain two additional bids for the fencing installation before awarding the fencing and landscaping project.

Projects Under Design

Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation

Project consists of rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer lines within the District.  Contract was previously awarded to King Solutions Services, LLC. Contractor is executing contract documents prior to Notice to Proceed.

Surface Water Plant Driveway Modifications

Due to Fort Bend County’s planned extension of Brandt Road and planned intersection modifications of Brandt Road and Skinner Lane, the District’s driveway to the surface water treatment plant must be modified to accommodate future access.  The District will be reimbursed for engineering and construction costs of these modifications.  Modifications include relocation of driveway, access gate and related fencing and electrical work to accommodate new entry location. Construction plans have been approved by all local agencies.

Northwest Pecan Grove Park Ramp

Project includes construction of a ramp and trail to facilitate access to the walking trail on top of the levee as it passes through Pecan Grove Park on Pitts Road.  Construction plans are with agencies for review.

Additional Engineering Items

District instructed Odyssey Engineering Group to attend the Fort Bend Subsidence District Meeting to voice the District’s stance in favor of the current conversion rate regulations.

District approved capacity commitment request of 3525 Farmers Road for 15,000 gpd of water and wastewater with an additional 3,000 gpd for irrigation for a future duplex community development.

District approved the updated Emergency Preparedness Plan and the Emergency Action Plan and authorized submittal to TCEQ and Fort Bend County.
