The regular monthly meeting of the Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was held at the Pecan Grove MUD Administration/Community Building at 5:30 p.m. on July 28, 2026. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the PGMUD Community/Administration building.
The PGMUD Community/Administration building was renamed and dedicated to former Director George “Buddy” Edward Kluppel II, who served on the board for 24 years. There will be a memorial plaque erected in front of the building.

Parks and Facilities Report
The new section of fence at Belin Park is complete.
The condenser for the small pool will be replaced.
The pool hours are now 11 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day except Monday until Labor Day. Lap swim schedule is Tuesday thru Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. adults only with no lifeguard.
The stolen knobs on some of the equipment in the Fitness Center have been replaced.
The mirrors in the Fitness Center will be repaired or replaced due to damage.
The Club at Pecan Grove
The grass on the greens on the Plantation course is growing nicely and we are hopeful that the Plantation course will open no later than mid-September. Plans for irrigation and reseeding the greens on Pecan are progressing with work planned to begin next winter on the irrigation. Work on Pecan greens will begin next summer. The introduction of new grass carp to the lakes is scheduled for September. These are sterile fish provided by the Texas Fish and Wildlife Department and will help control vegetation.
The Club is in the process of acquiring additional maintenance equipment and repairing some of the current equipment.
The Club completed the landscape renovation in the front area around the parking lot. The next project up front is the front sign. The Club is working on plans to remodel the locker rooms.
The club Member/Guest Tournament will be September 25 – 26. There will be a maximum of 40 teams (80 players). This will not be an MGA event. The club will run this tournament.
Residents should refrain from feeding the Muscovy ducks. They are a health hazard and an invasive species that drives out native wildlife, like songbirds, from their habitat.
The Club building renovations and remodeling are ongoing with work on the locker rooms, the entry way, the hallways upstairs and down, and the ballroom all being renovated and modernized over the coming months.
A mailing will be sent soon after the Plantation greens opening to encourage membership.
The total neighborhood rounds number was 718 in June.

June 2026 testing showed that the drinking water and wastewater systems met the state and federal compliance standards for disinfection and there were no permit excursions for the month.
Repairs or replacement completed in June 2026 include: replace the raw water gravity feed actuator at the SWTP; replace the return sludge pump #2 at the SWTP; replace high service pump #1 motor at the SWTP; replace non-potable pump #2 at the WWTP.
Items in process for June are: At the SWTP replacement of parts for the rectangular collector; purchase of main collector sprockets; purchase of drive chains and drive assembly for the main collectors; repair of the low lift pump #1; repair of booster pumps at Water Plants #1 and #3; replacement of the SO2 backup Smart regulator.
New requested actions that the board approved were: repair of the forklift at the SWTP: cleaning and sediment removal at Water Plants #1, #2, #3 and the elevated storage facility.
Expenses for emergency work in May included removal of mixer debris at three Ground Storage Tanks (GST); replacement of the electric meter can at Lift Station #7.
GM Services completed the performance testing of all the district’s water wells. There were no problems noted during the inspections.
Old water meters continue to be replaced, with 13 replaced this month for a total of 1,926 replaced to date since January 2023.
