Projects Under Construction
Generators for Water Plant No. 1 and Water Well No. 5
Project includes installing natural gas generators for the water plant located on Pitts Road and the remote water well located near Austin Elementary.
Engineer reported that Centerpoint has installed gas meter for water plant no. 1 and is still pending installation at water well no. 5. Start up on water plant no. 1 was held and there are minor punch list items for the Contractor to address.
Levee Property Acquisition
Engineer reported the Notice to Proceed was issued to Contractor, Greenscape & Associates, on November 14, 2022.
Engineer reported that the project is substantially complete, pending submittal of final paperwork from Contractor.
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation
Project consists of rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer lines within the District. Contract was previously awarded to King Solutions Services, LLC.
Field work on the project is complete. Close out pending submittal of final paperwork from Contractor.
Northwest Pecan Grove Park Ramp
Project includes construction of a ramp and trail to facilitate access to the walking trail on top of the levee as it passes through Pecan Grove Park on Pitts Road. Field work on the project is complete. Close out pending submittal of final paperwork from Contractor.
Projects Under Design
Facility Arc Flash Study – Phase 1
Project includes analysis of District facilities with control panels to ensure compliance with current electrical standards. Phase 1 includes surface water treatment plant and water plant nos. 1, 2 & 3.
Paid for out of Operating Budget 2023.

Preliminary engineering is underway and information from Centerpoint has been requested to proceed with the study.
Pecan Grove Park Perimeter Walking Trail/Sidewalk
Project includes design and construction of a walking trail around Pecan Grove Park.
Paid for out of Operating Budget 2023.
Engineer reported that preconstruction meeting was scheduled for April 27, 2023 and Notice to Proceed would be issued shortly thereafter.
Waterline Rehabilitation – Phase 1
Project includes design and construction replacement waterline along Morton League Road.
Paid for out of Bond Issue No. 18.
Engineer reported that preconstruction meeting was scheduled for April 21, 2023 and Notice to Proceed would be issued on April 26, 2023.
Rehabilitation of Chemical Feed System at Surface Water Plant
Project includes modifications and rehabilitation of the chemical feed system at the surface water plant to increase efficiency and due to components reaching design life.

Storm Sewer Outfall and Levee Penetration Televising
Project includes inspection of all storm sewer outfalls and pipes that penetrate the levee to determine pipe conditions. Televising report has been received by Engineer and is under review. Recommendations expected to be presented at the May meeting.
Access Road at North Pump Station
Project includes improvements of access road to serve the North Pump Station.

Engineer reported that plans are submitted for agency signature. Three bids were solicited with two bids returned. The low bidder is Infrastructure Construction Services (ICS) with a bid of $73.620. Board awarded the project to ICS.
Internal Drainage and Ponding Study
Project includes detailed flooding analysis incorporating Fort Bend County increase rainfall intensities as well as determining the primary location of ponding inside the levee. Paid for out of Operating Budget 2023

Old South Drive Culvert and Road Repairs
Project includes removing and replacing a portion of Old South Drive over the culvert connection of Bullhead Bayou. Project will also include grout filling and stabilization of any erosion discovered during road repair. Paid for out of Operating Budget 2023

South Pump Station Generator

South Pump Station Headwall Modification and Redundant Closure Devices
Project includes modification of headwall structure for the South Stormwater pump station to allow for the design and installation of back up closure devices. Design Paid for out of Bond Issue No. 18. Construction to be funded by a future bond issue.

Design and construction plan preparation is underway with geotechnical information for the structural engineer to be obtained in early May.

Board awarded contract for chemical injection stabilization of Pecan Lake flood wall to Eco Soil Stabilizers for a price of $94,155.00.
Board awarded contract for grouting replacement for Pecan Lakes flood wall to CFG Industries with a price of $16,000.
Board accepted a water meter easement from the La Vista Cottages for the proposed development located on Farmer Road.
Board issued Flood Development Permit #23-001 to La Vista Cottages located on Farmer Road.
Engineering discussed preliminary findings on the Capital Improvement contribution for FBWCID 10 to Pecan Grove MUD in connection with their request for 300 connection of water and sewer. The preliminary cost is approximately $3,280,000 and includes replacement of lift station no. 9.
