Highlights of Pecan Grove MUD Meeting – December 16, 2025

The regular monthly meeting of the Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was held at the Pecan Grove MUD Administration/Community Building at 5:00 p.m. on December 16, 2025. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the PGMUD Community/Administration building.

The PGVFD is planning to transition to an Emergency Services District (ESD) to better protect our fire service areas.

Parks and Facilities Report

A new contract for lifeguards for 2026 has been solicited. In the small pool, the filter, sand and pump have been replaced. In the fitness center, the floor has been replaced with cushioned floors and the new workout equipment has been installed.

Remember that key-card access to the pool, workout room, and tennis courts is now required. Renewal notices were mailed out November 13th. To maintain an active card, renewal payments must be made by December 31, 2025, at the MUD office.

The Club at Pecan Grove

The Club manager reported that the Grove course opening will be in January. All the irrigation work is complete. The annual Toys-for-Tots tournament was held in the last month as well as several other tournaments. Meanwhile, club membership is growing. The renovations of the swimming pool, tennis courts, and fitness center are bringing renewed interest in joining up. The clubhouse passed its fire inspection including several enhancements.

December 2025 testing showed that the drinking water and wastewater systems met the state and federal compliance standards for disinfection and there were no permit excursions for the month.

Repairs or replacement completed in November include: replacement of the SWTP PAC pump; repair of the SWTP lift pump #1; The replacement of the SWTP thickener sludge pump; the repair of the WWTP belt pump booster pump. There was also emergency replacement to: the golf course 4″ prop meter head with totalizer and sedimentation basin transducer.

Items in process are: replacement at the SWTP of the high service pump #3 repair and replace its motor; replacement of WWTP; the purchase of skid valves for the SWTP; replacement of the SWTP lift pump #2; the repair of the backhoe.

New requested actions that the board approved were: replacement of the belt press booster pump; WWTP RAS #2 pump; Water plant #1 booster pump and motor repair

Old water meters continue to be replaced, with 39 replaced this month for a total of 1,816 replaced to date since January 2023.

SI Enviro is seeking 3rd party damage claims for damages caused by one outside contractor working for other parties; and a reimbursement for tapping into a fire hydrant without going through a meter.
