Projects Under Construction

WWTP Belt Press Replacement

Project includes replacement of the belt press and corresponding electrical components at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Funding: Operating Funds. This is required before the Brandt Road project can be advertised for bids.

Notice to Proceed was issued March 23, 2026. Contract duration: 400 calendar days. Contractor is providing material submittals for engineer review. Contractor-submitted project schedule:

  • Mobilization: November 2026
  • Demo existing belt press: December 2026
  • Install new press and controls: January 2027
  • Start-up and testing: February 2027

Electrical Improvements at District Lift Stations

Project includes electrical improvements at District lift stations. Funding: Operating Funds.

  • Notice to Proceed issued May 21, 2026.
  • Total contract time: 330 days.

Contractor is providing material submittals for engineer review.

Club Facilities – Tennis Court Electrical & Lighting Improvements

Project included electrical and lighting improvements to serve the tennis courts at Club facilities. Funding: Operating Funds. McDonald Municipal & Industrial. Engineer reported that light manufacturer has agreed to replace all lights due to apparent defects. Buckson is working on scheduling the replacement work.

PROJECTS UNDER DESIGN

Water Distribution and Wastewater Utility Extension along Brandt Road

Project includes installation of a waterline and sanitary sewer line along Brandt Road. Funding: Operating Funds. Plans have been approved by all agencies. Advertising remains contingent on execution of the PILOT agreement with Esteem AI Ventures. The Engineer will request authorization to advertise upon execution.

Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Improvements to Serve The Club at Pecan Grove

Project includes rehabilitation of drainage and sanitary sewer lines within the Club facility. Funding: Bond Issue No. 19. Engineer is working on final construction plans and expects to request authorization to advertise at the June 2026 Board meeting.

Reclaimed Water System and Conveyance Line

Project includes design and installation of a Phase 1 water effluent re-use system, including discharge piping to connect to the pond at the intersection of FM 359 and Plantation Drive. Funding: Bond Issue No. 19. Project will be advertised for construction in June 2026, with bids to be presented at the July 2026 Board meeting.

South Pump Station Headwall Improvements and Redundant Gate Closures

Project includes modification of the concrete headwall at the south pump station and installation of sluice gates on the upstream end of the box culvert connection through the levee. Funding: Bond Issue No. 19. Plans have been approved by all agencies. Bids will be opened June 11, 2026 and presented to the Board at the June 2026 meeting.

Surface Water Treatment Plant

Membrane Installation is scheduled for the week of June 1, 2026.

Levee & Floodplain – Hurricane Season Preparedness and Brazos River Model Update

  • Odyssey attended the Fort Bend County OEM Hurricane Season preparation workshop on May 21, 2026.
  • Fort Bend County is updating the Brazos River floodplain model. A preliminary map is expected to be submitted in August 2026. District levees will be required to recertify upon completion of the updated model.

Sale of Over-Conversion Credits – Fort Bend County MUD 239

Odyssey has contacted Fort Bend County MUD 239 regarding the previously authorized sale of over-conversion credits. FBCMUD 239 is considering the purchase at a future board meeting.

PILOT Agreement – Esteem AI Ventures (Brandt Road, 4.4 Acres)

Esteem AI Ventures continues to provide comments on the PILOT agreement for out-of-District services related to the Brandt Road utility extension. The Board discussed and amended the agreement as appropriate. Execution of this agreement is required before the Brandt Road project can be advertised for bids.
