PROJECTS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Swimming Pool Rehabilitation
Project includes rehabilitation of the main pool, demolition of the small pool, and improvement to various items within pool area. Engineer reported that contracts for the pool completion project are ready for execution. Pre-Construction meeting is scheduled for March 2, 2026 with Notice to Proceed to issued the same day.
Waterline Rehabilitation — Phase Two
Project includes replacement of aging waterline infrastructure within Plantation, Section One with additional location of Mayweather Lane between Plantation Drive and Morton League Road. Contractor has completed construction activities and working to provide necessary close out documents. Board approved Change Order No. 5 and Pay Request No. 5.
Club Facilities Tennis Court Improvements
Tennis Court Lighting and Electrical Improvements project is complete; however, during recent storm activity, lightning appeared to damage the controller. Engineer is working with District consultants to assess damage and determine appropriate next steps. Board approved Pay Request No. 5 & Final pending resolution of the inspections.
WWTP Belt Press Replacement
Project includes design to update the belt press and corresponding electrical components at the WWTP. Engineer reported that contractor and Engineer are working on project submittals.
Lift Station Generator Installation
Project to include installation of three natural gas generators and not to include any improvements to CenterPoint facilities that be required. Engineer reported that the contracts are ready for District execution.
PROJECTS UNDER DESIGN
Water Distribution and Wastewater Utility Extension along Brandt Road
Project to include installation of a waterline and sanitary sewer line along Brandt Road. Plans have been approved by all agencies. Advertising of the project is contingent on execution of agreement with Esteem AI Ventures for out-of-District services.
Sanitary Sewer and Drainage and Improvements to Serve The Club at Pecan Grove
Project to include rehabilitation of a drainage and sanitary sewer lines within the Club facility. Engineer is working on final design.
Reclaimed Water System and Conveyance Line
Project to include design and installation of a Phase 1 water effluent reuse system, including discharge piping to connect to the pond at the intersection of FM 359 and Plantation Drive. Engineer is presenting the following project schedule:
- Plan Updates: February 2026
- Agency Approval: April 2026
- Open Bids: June 2026
- NTP: September 2026
- Project Complete: April 2027
South Pump Station Headwall and Redundant Closures
Project includes design and modification of the concrete headwall at the south pump station and installation of sluice gates on the upstream end of the box culvert connection through the levee to provide secondary closure structures. Engineer reported that plans are submitted for agency review.
Bond Issue No. 19
Engineer is finalizing application report based on consultant comments. Board authorized submittal of application to TCEQ when completed.
Other Engineering Items
Engineer informed the Board of communication from resident located at 2119 Summerland Drive requesting approval of an encroachment. The fence encroachment was allowed by the golf course owner many years ago due to placement of existing drainage features. Resident is now asking the District for a formal approval of the encroachment. Board considered the requested and tabled for further discussion.
Engineer reported that geotechnical engineer will be onsite to assess the minor sink holes at the Pecan Lakes pump station as well as some surface cracking observed around the Pecan Lakes structural walls.
Engineer requested that the Board authorize Off-Cinco to provide additional services related to website tracking and monitoring as required by the TCEQ for MS4 public notification purposes.
Engineer presented proposal from CDC Unlimited to address algae growth on the detention basin located off Plantation Drive between Holes 2 and 3 on the Plantation course. Board approved algae treatment and asked CDC to provide additional quotes at the March meeting related to installation of aerator instead of a fountain.
