Learn More About PGMUD’s Storm Water Management Program

Since 2007, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required operators of Small Municipal Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) to meet specific permitting and compliance standards to protect our waterways. Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District (PGMUD) proudly adheres to these regulations through its comprehensive Storm Water Management Program (SWMP).

Our SWMP outlines five key areas of focus, including public education, pollution prevention, and stormwater runoff control. These efforts not only ensure compliance with TCEQ’s requirements but also contribute to cleaner rivers, lakes, and streams for our community.

Residents of PGMUD play a vital role in these initiatives! From neighborhood cleanups to proper disposal of hazardous waste, there are many ways you can help keep our waterways safe.

Together, we can ensure that only rain goes down the drain!
