The regular monthly meeting of the Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was held at the Pecan Grove Community/Administration building on the evening of May 23, 2023. The next meeting is scheduled for June 27, 2023, in the PGMUD Community/Administration building at 3:30 p.m.

Parks Report
The new Walking Trail around Pecan Grove Park is complete and ties into the walking trail on the levee and to the new park ramp on the Northwest corner of the park. Reservations for the Community/Administration Building and for the park pavilion are strong. The Parks committee is looking at stationary workout fixtures along the new trail as well as replacing some goals on the Frisbee golf course.
Operator’s Report
May 2023 testing showed that the drinking water system met the state and federal compliance standard for disinfection and there were no permit excursions for the month in wastewater.
At the Surface Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) the purchase and repair of the level transmitter for the clearwater mixing chamber is pending with the vendor. The parts are on order for the SWTP backwash strainer.
At the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) lift pump #4 has been repaired as well as the repair of the step screen. The fence at the WWTP repair is complete. The sludge pump VFD cabinet cooler repair is in process and should be completed in June.
The repair of the #1 pump at Lift Station #9 is in process. The #4 pump at the South Storm Water Pump Station is being evaluated prior to repair.
The operator asked to replace: The #1 pump at Lift Staion #2, the bleach pump at the SWTP and GAC pump motor also at the SWTP.
On May 17, 2023, the TCEQ conducted an inspection at the WWTP and there were no deficiencies noted.
The program to replace high usage meters in the district has completed replacement of 638 meters this year.
