Highlights of Pecan Grove MUD Meeting – December 16, 2021

The regular monthly meeting of the Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was held at the new Pecan Grove Community/Administration building on the evening of December 16, 2021. The next meeting is scheduled for January 25, 2022 in the PGMUD Community/Administration building at 5:30 p.m.

Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office – Monthly Contract Report for December 2021

* The Sheriff’s Office has utilized its Day Shift and Evening Shift Traffic Units for a traffic enforcement operation in Pecan Grove for the month of December. This was in addition to the Contract Deputy Traffic enforcement. This operation will continue through January.

Operator’s Report

There was a problem with the GCWA meter which caused the amount produced to read low which led to an overestimate of accountability. The meter has been repaired. All water quality tests were found to be in compliance for the month. At the Surface Water Treatment Plant the GAC pump replacement has been ordered and the PALL membrane SCADA computer and software upgrade are in process. Bollards and a gate on the levee at the east end of Old Dixie Lane and Colonel Court have been ordered. There is a sinkhole that has developed at the outfall and EDP has been authorized to get it repaired.

Engineering Report

Fort Bend Subsidence District has renewed the District’s well permits with a total authorized withdrawal of 850 million gallons of ground water for 2022.

Fort Bend County Change in Precincts

Fort Bend County Commissioner’s Court has redrawn the precinct lines and renumbered the precincts effective January 1, 2022. Pecan Grove used to be in Precinct 3 but now is in Precinct 1 and our commissioner is now Vincent Morales. To see the new precinct lines go to www.fortbendcountytx.gov.

Fort Bend County Primary Elections

On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, there will be primary elections in Texas for candidates contending to be on the ballot for the November general election. Early voting begins on Monday, February 14, 2022, and ends on Friday, February 25, 2022. The new PGMUD Community/Administration building will be a polling (voting) location on Election Day.
