Highlights of Pecan Grove MUD Meeting – May 26, 2021

The regular monthly meeting of the Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was held via conference call on the evening of May 26, 2021. Current plans for the meetings are to return to in person meetings beginning in June.


Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office – Monthly Contract Report

Electric Supply Contract

Dave Ciarella reported on the new contract with TXU that lowers are price per KW hour to about $0.41.

Parks Report

Marcus Campbell reported that there has been some vandalism in the restrooms at Pecan Grove Park that has been reported to the Sheriff’s office. The lighting at Windmill Park has been replaced. In May there were 16 pavilion reservations and June reservations are starting out strong. There also has been considerable interest in reserving the new community building for events when it is completed.


Accountability for April was high again as EDP still has some under production errors.

Annual fire hydrant testing begins the week of June 14th.

All water quality testing for the month was completed and showed that we meet all state standards.

The annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) will be mailed out in June.

We continue to maintain our website and send email blasts of important information to those signed up for emails. We have 3,663 email subscribers, up 32 from last month.
