Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office – Monthly Contract Report for July 2022

PGVFD Report – July 2022

Chief Jerod Vontz discussed the budget for next year for the Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department (PGVFD). In order to try to re-staff the department there will need to be an increase in the budget and our PGVFD portion will increase to $16.85 per month per residence. Mr. Vontz also reviewed the needs for replacement equipment and training so that we can maintain our current fire rating. Failing to maintain our fire service rating could cost homeowners hundreds more in home insurance.

Parks Report

Fort Bend County is donating live oak trees to Pecan Grove. We have asked for delivery in October or November so the planting will not be during such hot weather and the trees will have a better chance to survive.

The electrical panel at Windmill Park has been replaced.

An online portal on our website for event reservations at the new Pecan Grove MUD Administration/ Community building as well as for the park pavilion is now available and some meetings have been held.
