The Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District provides water, sewer, and drainage services to the residents of Pecan Grove, Plantation Place, and Pecan Lakes.

 


District Profile

On May 27th, 1975, Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District was created by order of the Texas Water Commission (now called the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, or TCEQ) and confirmed by election on January 15, 1977. The District lies wholly in the ETJ of Richmond, in Fort Bend County, Texas. The District is empowered to construct, operate and maintain all water and wastewater facilities required to service the residents within the boundaries of the District. Pecan Grove MUD is somewhat unique in that it also includes a levee system.
